Job Description

Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Glasgow

Role Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for the management reporting function of one or more Business Units within the business. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Business Unit Head, you will provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial and non-financial information to support strategic decision-making. You will also lead budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and control.

Key Responsibilities

* Build strong, collaborative relationships with Business Unit Heads and key stakeholders to enhance financial understanding and performance.
* Act as a strategic advisor on financial matters, driving engagement and operational efficiency.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver insightful financial analysis.
* Review monthly management accounts and prepare detailed Business Unit reports.
* Develop periodic cashflow projections and support working capital management.
* Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with Business Unit Heads.
* Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and implement best practices.
* Oversee quarterly reporting submissions to the parent company.
* Manage and support Finance staff, including performance appraisals and development.
* Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
* Respond to ad hoc requests, projects, and financial research from senior management.

Qualifications & Experience Education:

* Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA) with post-qualification experience.

Experience:

* Proven experience in a senior finance role within a large organisation.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience.
* Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling

Skills:

* Advanced MS Excel skills.
* High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of financial regulations.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
