About the Role
To strengthen our capacity in supporting our students, we are seeking to appoint to a new post of Safeguarding Officer, who will work as part of the school's safeguarding and pastoral team and act as one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL). This role is offered at 30 - 37.5 hours per week, term time., In this role you will coordinate and deliver support for students with complex safeguarding, social, emotional and mental health needs, acting as a key professional link between the school, families and external agencies. The role has the potential to make a significant and measurable difference to our students and families.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have some experience of working with young people, as well as experience in a safeguarding and/or pastoral role. You will be compassionate and child-centred; have excellent communication, IT and record-keeping skills; and be resilient, persistent and solution-focused.
