Title: Stores Operative
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Elland Service Centre
Job Purpose:
To enable the business to achieve the required contractual service standards by managing stock and store areas within the depot and reporting issues to the Operations Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a clean and organized Stores area, adhering to all Health and Safety procedures.
2. Ensure accurate picking and storage of stock and equipment.
3. Conduct interim stock takes and checks to ensure accuracy and identify system issues.
4. Manage stock control levels effectively, ensuring parts availability and identifying obsolete parts for potential reuse.
5. Support daily store tasks such as goods in, stock ordering, driver runs, and housekeeping.
6. Drive innovation in stock management, focusing on the use and sustainability of refurbished parts.
7. Ensure proper use of PPE as instructed.
8. Undertake necessary training to maintain role skills.
9. Provide support to other business areas as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience in a Stores environment.
* Understanding of Contract Dates and Contract Compliance.
* Excellent organization and communication skills.
* Flexible approach to changing working conditions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Abilities:
* Handling and moving equipment and accessories safely.
* Locating and moving stock accurately.
* Lifting and use of moving equipment.
