Overview

1:1 Learning Support Assistants (2 Posts) - Stockbridge Village

Are you a nurturing, active, and inspirational role model ready to make a significant difference in a young person's life? We are looking for two dedicated and resilient 1:1 Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team in Stockbridge Village, working with two pupils who require specialist support. These are rewarding roles requiring individuals with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive despite facing emotional and behavioral challenges.


Responsibilities

* Build Trust and Rapport: Establish a strong, positive, and consistent relationship with the pupil, serving as their primary anchor and role model throughout the school day.
* Provide Nurturing Support: Offer consistent emotional regulation strategies and a safe space for the child to process their feelings without judgment.
* Facilitate Engagement: Adapt learning tasks and environments to keep the child motivated, active, and focused on their academic and personal development goals.
* Manage Behaviour of Concern: Proactively manage and de-escalate crisis situations using positive behaviour strategies and school policies.
* Promote Positive Choices: Model appropriate social skills and emotional responses, consistently guiding the child towards making positive decisions.

* Nurturing and Patient: A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach, understanding that progress often isn\'t linear.
* Active and Dynamic: Able to keep up with energetic children and adapt quickly to changing situations.
* A Confident Role Model: Demonstrates integrity, excellent communication, and maturity at all times.


Qualifications

* Experienced (Desirable): Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or complex needs (in education, care, or youth work settings) is advantageous.
