Enterprise Risk Manager - ORSA Ownership (12-Month FTC)

* 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
* Salary: £90k + 25% retention bonus
* Hybrid Working: (3 days in office, 2 from home)
* Proven Enterprise Risk Experience Required
* Essential: End-to-end ORSA ownership and authoring experience.
Role Purpose: ORSA Lead
You will take full ownership of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), ensuring it accurately reflects the business's risk profile, capital adequacy, and forward-looking strategy.
The role requires an experienced Enterprise Risk professional who is comfortable engaging directly with Board-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* ORSA Ownership (Mandatory Focus): Own and author the end-to-end ORSA report, driving the process from initial data collation and strategic narrative development to the final submission and presentation for sign-off by Executive and Board committees.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Board-level stakeholders and senior leadership on setting, defining, and embedding risk appetites and broader strategic risk activities.
* ERM Framework Governance: Co-develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies, and strategic components.
* Scenario Stress Testing (SST): Lead or support scenario testing (SST), including ad hoc stress testing aligned with the overall risk strategy.
* Advisory and Oversight: Act as a primary advisor and point of oversight for first-line teams regarding the correct application and adherence to the ERM framework.
* Emerging Risk: Champion emerging risk identification and assessment, ensuring key findings are clearly presented to senior leaders.
* Support: Assist with regulatory and assurance actions, deep dive risk reviews, and transaction assessments, contributing to broader framework improvement initiatives.
Knowledge & Expertise
* Deep, demonstrable expertise in the end-to-end ORSA process and its regulatory requirements.
* Experience designing and embedding enterprise-wide risk frameworks.
* Knowledge of Scenario Stress Testing (SST) methodologies.
* Familiarity with regulatory and industry requirements relevant to the role.
Experience
* Experience within an ERM function or equivalent second-line risk environment within Insurance
* Proven, interaction with Board and Executive management on enterprise risk matters.
