The Role
The Xamarin Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using Xamarin and .NET MAUI frameworks. The role involves working closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, contributing to Agile delivery, and ensuring application performance, stability, and maintainability across Android platforms.
Your responsibilities:
· Analyse functional and technical requirements and implement mobile application features accordingly.
· Develop, enhance, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Xamarin and C#.
· Produce and maintain technical documentation aligned with design and development standards.
· Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
· Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and adherence to best practices.
· Design and execute unit tests to ensure functional accuracy and reliability.
· Troubleshoot application issues related to performance, memory usage, and device behaviour.
· Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to support build, release, and deployment activities.
· Follow clean coding standards, SOLID principles, and established architectural guidelines.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
· Hands-on experience with Xamarin, .NET MAUI, C#, and Android development.
· Understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
· Knowledge of Android OS architecture, configurations, and lifecycle management.
· Experience in analysing and optimising application performance, including battery, memory, storage, and network usage.
· Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues at application and device level.
· Experience working with REST APIs, data persistence, and background services.
· Good understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and iterative delivery models.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts for mobile applications.
· Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work in customer-facing environments.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: (As applicable)
· Experience migrating Xamarin applications to .NET MAUI.
· Exposure to Azure DevOps, App Centre, or similar mobile DevOps tools.
· Experience working with device hardware integrations (scanners, printers, sensors).
· Familiarity with secure coding practices and enterprise mobile standards.
