A leading international law firm is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join its growing London-based finance function. This newly created role presents a rare opportunity to take ownership of management reporting and financial planning within a complex, global legal environment. This position is ideally suited to a proactive, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys adding value through data-driven insight and close collaboration with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities for the Management Accountant:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Produce concise and insightful management information (MI) packs for senior leadership and partners
* Deliver detailed variance analysis and contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles
* Support the finance team with year-end audit preparation and compliance processes
* Business partner with legal teams on WIP, debtor management, and revenue control
* Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and best practice within reporting functions
Candidate Requirements for the Management Accountant:
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a professional services, legal, or regulated financial environment
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data visualisation, and analysis tools)
* Strong communication skills and confidence presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
* Commercial acumen and a proactive, analytical approach to problem solving
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative setting

Working Arrangements:
* Location: Central London (Zone 1)
