Cromer House has an exciting opportunity for someone to join a well-established and well-lead practice; we are looking for an experienced individual to fulfil the position of Lead Dental Nurse/Team Leader.
Our full practice refurbishment has enabled us to expand the treatments and services we offer and therefore the growth of our nursing team is equally important to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
The patient journey and building a rapport with our clients is of the utmost importance to us. The successful candidates must hold a recognised dental nursing qualification and have sufficient experience of being a lead dental nurse.
As part of the dental team the Lead dental nurse role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinical areas, to mentor any trainee nurses and to be a positive role model for all our staff. To maintain professionalism, confidence and have an enthusiastic attitude to working as part of a vibrant team.
Responsibilities include:
* Working closely with our practice manager to support the clinical management of the practice
* Completing tasks efficiently set by our practice manager
* Stock management
* Clinical audits
* Overseeing intra oral scanning maintenance and protocols
* Preparing and maintaining dental equipment, instruments and materials
* Carrying out infection control and decontamination procedures
* Providing chair side assistance to dentists and therapists
* Providing support and reassurance to patients
* To follow and adhere to the practice policies and procedures and CQC requirements
Qualities we would expect are:
* Must be reliable, punctual, with a friendly and professional manner
* To be able to develop professional relationships with patients and the team
* Ability to resolve day to day problems
* Experience in Dentally software would be desirable but not essential
* A good level of IT skills with a knowledge of Word/Excel programs
* Consistent learning and contribution to the development of the team and practice
* To use initiative and be pro – active
