Main Duties
The successful candidate will work in the dispensary at Fieldhead Hospital and provide support to our inpatient services with regards to medicines supply.
Key Result Areas
* Work with a wide range of healthcare professionals to ensure service users receive medicines in a timely and safe manner.
* Dispense medication to inpatients and outpatients under the care of SWYFT.
* Provide a stock top‑up service to inpatient units.
* Support the procurement of medication.
* Reception and administrative tasks to support day‑to‑day functioning of the dispensary.
* Maintain and manage stock levels within the department.
* Participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota (1 in 10 Saturdays 10am until 12pm).

* Good communication skills, both oral and written.

* NVQ Level 2/BTEC Level 2 in pharmacy or willingness to complete within agreed timeframe meeting GPhC requirements (mains for Band 2).
* Minimum 3 GCSEs (Band 3).
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, Buttercups or equivalent (Band 3).
* Level 3 qualification in pharmacy or equivalent experience (Band 3).
Physical Attributes
Essential
* Physically able to visit ward areas and select stock from both high and low storage with restricted access.
* Ability to undertake all duties and demands of the post with a satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years.
