Job Title: Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Lead

Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week. The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

The successful applicant must have the pre-existing right to both live, and to work in the UK.

About the role

Are you passionate about raising standards and shaping world‑class health and safety education? We’re on a mission to ensure exceptional learning experiences are delivered that make a real difference—and we’re looking for an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Lead to champion excellence across our programmes.

In this high‑impact role, you’ll safeguard the integrity, consistency, and quality of assessment and learning delivery across IOSH Academy qualifications. You’ll ensure that all provision meets regulatory requirements, drives continuous improvement, and maintains the credibility and reputation of IOSH qualifications.

You will provide academic leadership and guidance to our tutor and assessor teams, act as the primary academic liaison with the IOSH Awarding Organisation and oversee internal quality assurance across our portfolio.

This is a hands‑on role: you will be actively involved in sampling, standardisation, supporting tutors and assessors, analysing performance data, producing IQA reports, and, where required, delivering live learner sessions. Your work will directly influence the quality of learning and the success of our learners.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an experienced quality assurance professional with strong academic credibility and a passion for maintaining high standards. You’ll be confident providing leadership and guidance to tutors and assessors, influencing best practice, and driving continuous improvement across programmes.

You’ll bring a strong understanding of assessment design, quality assurance methodologies, and regulatory compliance, alongside the ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into meaningful improvements. Organised, analytical, and collaborative, you’ll be comfortable managing deadlines, preparing for audits, and acting as the academic point of contact for the awarding organisation.

You’ll also bring a practical, solutions‑focused approach—happy to roll up your sleeves, support delivery teams, and contribute directly to learner success and experience.

* RQF Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification or equivalent.
* Experience of teaching and assessment of accredited qualifications at Level 6.
* Experience of quality assurance within an educational environment.
* Knowledge of Ofqual and awarding body requirements.

What’s in it for you?

We support our colleagues to bring their best selves to work, so they can deliver exceptional outcomes. We do this by offering a comprehensive benefits package, including:

* Hybrid working and flexibility to ensure a positive work‑life balance
* 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) increasing with length of service, with the option to buy more
* Private medical insurance and healthcare cash plan covered by IOSH
* Salary sacrifice pension scheme, minimum of 3% employee contribution whilst IOSH contribute 5%
* Individual performance related pay scheme
* Up to five paid volunteering days per year
* Employee Assistance Programme to support you and your dependent's wellbeing
