Junior Merchandiser
The Junior Merchandiser reports to a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser. The role involves significant merchandising responsibilities and working within the wider team. The goal is to maximize commercial opportunities through effective inventory management, demand driving, improved availability, forecasting, and markdown reduction to maximize profit.
Responsibilities:
* Present weekly trade data within the division and generate performance reports for promotional activities.
* Re-forecast, manage, buy, and cancel products as needed.
* Review the WSSI in-season and advise Merchandisers and Senior Merchandisers to maximize trading opportunities.
* Support departmental control of markdown spend.
* Identify patterns and implement actions to minimize risks in TF Management.
* Produce analysis to support future range planning.
* Prepare and present corrective action plans to maintain dormancy levels.
* Pre-empt potential issues using supplier knowledge, shipping info, and liaison with CSO and warehouses.
* Calculate color/size ratios considering MOQs and lead times to ensure appropriate availability.
* Collaborate with the buying team to develop a commercial range that meets and exceeds targets and customer expectations.
* Support execution of PARETO ranking.
* Use range plans/frameworks for strategy, range control, and sign-off meetings.
* Maintain action plans for missed or upcoming critical path dates.
* Assist in department production and fabric planning.
* Coordinate with suppliers on updates to production/fabric plans.
* Support and communicate with the Partnership Team.
* Serve as SME for AM Role.
* Perform ad hoc duties and provide administrative support as required.
Skills and Experience:
* Relevant degree in fashion or demonstrable skills through work experience.
* Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
* Keen interest in fashion and customer focus.
* Driven and motivated.
* Retail experience is essential.

Ways of Working:
We offer hybrid working, typically 3 days per week for this role. Our Head Office is located in Manchester City Centre, surrounded by amenities. Working hours are 36.17 per week with flexible patterns within core hours of 10am - 4pm.
