The Contract Monitoring & Support Officer (CMSO) is a critical role within the team delivering daily support services to all the staff at Brecon. This post will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the two contractors delivering both Hard and Soft Facilities Management are held to account, encouraged to improve services, deliver continuous improvement and meet the expectations of the Army on a daily basis. The successful candidate will need to liaise daily with both contractors, acting as the conduit between the military team and the contractor, resolving issues and negotiating positive outcomes for the unit. This will require the CMSO to have excellent communications skills, an ability to influence and the confidence to stand their ground when necessary. Key Responsibilities include: Monitor the delivery of the Hard and Soft Facilities Management contracts with daily liaison with the contractors to ensure delivery timelines and standards are met across the unit Primary site Point of Contact and focal point for the management of Barrack maintenance and repair issues Management of the in-year maintenance and building budget Conduct both soft and hard FM audits, holding the contractors to account, deputising for the Line Manager where needed on all weekly/bi-weekly meetings Fulfil the duties of the Environmental Management representative for the site Line Management of 1 x Administrative Officer Does this sound like the opportunity youve been waiting for?
