📍 Location: Cardiff Gate Business Park
🕒 Hours: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm)
💼 Salary: £38,000-£40,000 (DOE) + 13% Pension + Free Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
🔍 Your Role at a Glance You'll work closely with another accountant to manage the full spectrum of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuity. From transactional processing to strategic reporting, you'll be at the heart of our financial engine.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Processing invoices, expenses, and payments
* Month-end journals, prepayments, and accruals
* Preparing P&L, balance sheet, and variance reports
* Supporting forecasting, IPT returns, and year-end audit prep
* Liaising with auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders
* Deputising for the Finance Director when required
* Contributing to board packs and strategic decision-making
🧠 What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who's technically strong, highly organised, and confident in communicating financial insights across the business.
Essential:
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Strong experience in transactional finance and management accounts
* Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel
* Understanding of FCA/PRA regulations
* Ability to cover full finance duties during team absences Desirable:
* Experience in financial services or not-for-profit sectors
* Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory submissions
* Knowledge of claims systems and IPT returns
