Worley is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join the onshore team for a fixed term contract. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Prax project team.
Responsibilities
* Assist in ensuring all Projects / Company HSEQ goals are achieved and where possible exceeded
* Effective liaison with Client and Sub-Contractor / Vendor Representatives
* Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across all Mechanical activities, delivering best practices at all times
* Provide support to the Client’s Mechanical Team
Primary duties
* Execute day-to-day Mechanical Construction activities in accordance with the project schedule, ensuring all safety procedures are followed
* Demonstrate visible safety leadership by example and communicate with teams
* Participate in Company and Project safety initiatives
* Review Construction Workpacks / Drawings to ensure work is as planned; escalate issues to the Foreman
* Act as Performing Authority to issue Mechanical Construction activity permits – liaise with Foreman and Control of Work
* Ensure work meets required standards; assist Quality Team with test sheets and test dossier
* Perform tool checks and lead toolbox talks when required
* Coordinate with Control of Work to issue daily work permits and resolve issues
* Provide support to other trades as required
Essential qualifications
* NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
* CCNSG Safety Passport

* Performing Authority experience
* Manual Handling
* Preventative maintenance
Experience
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role on Oil and Gas projects
* Delivery-focused with a track record of achieving goals while maintaining high HSEQ standards
* Knowledge of O&G HSEQ safe work practices / procedures
* Experience working in a team and interfacing with Management and Client representatives
* Knowledge of Permit to Work systems
