Job Title: Workshop Technician
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum
We are currently seeking a Workshop Technician to join a precision engineering business based in Oxfordshire. This role is ideally suited to someone with a medical device or pharmaceutical background, experienced in assembling low-volume, high-precision products where accuracy, compliance, and zero-defect delivery are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble low-volume, high-precision small products in line with detailed drawings, SOPs, and quality procedures.
* Work within regulated environments, ensuring full compliance with medical or pharmaceutical quality standards.
* Carry out in-process and final quality checks to ensure products are released with no errors.
* Prepare products for reliable delivery to customers, meeting strict documentation and traceability requirements.
* Attend customer sites where required to support installation or technical issues.
* Maintain a clean, controlled, and well-organised workshop environment.
* Accurately complete build records, inspection documentation, and QC paperwork.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Background in medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
* Experience assembling low-volume, high-precision products.
* Strong understanding of quality systems, traceability, and controlled processes.
* Hands-on experience with QC or inspection activities.
* Excellent attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
* Reliable, professional, and confident when dealing with customers.
