Tax Manager – Accountancy Practice | Stoke-on-Trent – Up to £70,000 DOE
Our client, a respected and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Tax Director, this role combines tax compliance with the opportunity to support and shape a growing advisory function.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and review personal tax returns and P11Ds across a varied client portfolio.
* Provide technical support to junior staff and oversee complex tax matters.
* Deliver tailored tax and business advice to clients, attending meetings as required.
* Liaise with HMRC and external bodies to resolve client queries.
* Support the Tax Director with advisory projects and ad hoc tax planning.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a small team.
* Contribute to internal meetings and business improvements.
What We’re Looking For
* CTA qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in practice.
* Strong technical knowledge in personal tax, capital allowances, and Corporation Tax.
* Experience advising on IHT, CGT, Income Tax, and business structures.
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
* Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Organised, proactive, and confident working independently and in a team.
