Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role assists with the development and maintenance of the IT applications for Phoebe Philo Ltd, ensuring that the applications are user-friendly, effective, cost-efficient, secure, and compliant.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with all departments across the organisation to understand their requirements and work with them to select and implement technology to support their needs, including:
2. Front end ecommerce stack: work with the digital team to ensure that the front end ecommerce stack is optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant.
3. Airtable: work with the product development and the rest of the business teams to understand their needs and further enhance the Airtable solution that supports the company's design and development process.
4. Finance: work with the finance team to ensure that systems for accounting, reporting, accounts payable, online payments, VAT, and payroll are optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant.
5. Logistics: work with the logistics team to ensure that systems for carrier management, shipping labels, returns handling, etc., are working well and are improved.
6. Sustainability: work with the sustainability, development, and production teams to optimise systems for collecting and tracking sustainability data.
7. Integrations: ensure that system integrations, including middleware, are optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant.
8. Develop and manage relationships with partners and contractors to ensure technology requirements are delivered and supported.
9. Provide guidance and training to teams across the organisation on all systems and platforms to optimise system usage.
10. Ensure operational reliability, stability, security, and compliance of technology services and applications using industry standards and best practices.
11. Ensure all technology processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, e.g., GDPR.
12. Drive collaboration across teams to ensure smooth rollout of technology.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
1. Degree in Computer Science or demonstrable experience.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in technology roles within fashion, with experience of e-commerce, product development, and support functions in fashion (ideally luxury fashion).
3. Experience in a start-up/scale-up environment with the ability to continuously update and improve the technology stack through different growth stages.
4. Knowledge of current and emerging computer architecture and technologies, application development techniques, and suppliers/partners.
5. Experience with relevant systems such as Shopify, Hubspot, Powerfront, Avalara, Global-E, JOOR, Brightpearl, Airtable, Microsoft Business Central, Concur, SDI, and no/low code platforms like MAKE.
6. Ability to lead the development and delivery of business technology projects.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Comfortable with tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technology to non-technologists.
10. Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders.
11. High standards combined with a resourceful attitude.
12. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to build trust and credibility.
