Overview
Are you an experienced credit professional with supervisory experience looking for a role with clear accountability and day‑to‑day responsibility for credit operations and performance?
At TaylorMade Golf, we are seeking a Credit Supervisor to oversee UK credit control activity, providing day‑to‑day supervision of a team of three. Reporting to the European Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving strong cash collection and maintaining robust credit governance, while working closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to support service excellence and financial targets.
The role
This is a hands‑on supervisory role with responsibility for the operational leadership of the UK Credit Control team. You’ll ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently, credit risk is appropriately managed, and cash collection targets are achieved — while supporting a high standard of internal service and customer experience.
You’ll act as the main point of contact for UK credit matters, partnering with internal stakeholders and escalating where appropriate, while being supported by the wider European Credit structure.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day supervision, oversight and direction to the UK Credit Control team (3 colleagues), ensuring workloads, priorities and deadlines are effectively managed
* Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching and development activity to build capability, consistency and engagement
* Oversee the maintenance of UK customer accounts to ensure adherence to contractual terms, agreed promotions and company credit policy
* Monitor cash collection performance, supporting the team to optimise DSO and working capital results
* Review and support credit‑granting decisions for new and existing UK accounts, escalating recommendations where required in line with delegated authority
* Oversee the daily management of orders held for credit reasons, ensuring clear processes, timely escalation and appropriate release
* Act as the first point of escalation for complex or higher‑risk UK accounts and manage a small portfolio of key accounts where appropriate
* Provide cover for team members during periods of absence
* Support the European Credit Manager with the implementation, maintenance and enforcement of company credit policy, ensuring audit readiness and compliance
* Work closely with Sales, Customer Service and Finance teams as the key UK Credit contact, contributing to service excellence initiatives and cross‑functional process improvements
* Attend customer and field visits as required and represent Credit at Sales meetings, contributing risk awareness and commercial insight
What we’re looking for
Education & experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
* ICM qualification desirable but not essential
* Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or team‑lead credit and collections role
* Experience of managing collections within owner‑operated or small business customer environments, requiring discretion, empathy and sound judgement alongside adherence to credit policy
* Strong collections background, including ledger management, dispute resolution and payment plan negotiation
* Experience overseeing credit decisions, reviewing recommendations and managing exposure
* Proven experience overseeing credit‑held order processes and daily operational controls
Knowledge & skills
* Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions
* Working knowledge of Oracle (advantageous) and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with confidence using data to support decision‑making
* Clear, confident communicator with the ability to manage sensitive conversations and resolve issues constructively
* Sound understanding of credit risk, exposure management and cashflow performance
* Confident day‑to‑day people supervisor, able to coach, support and develop team members
What we offer
* Hybrid working (Tuesday and Wednesday work from home)
* Competitive salary, bonus potential and contributory pension
* Private healthcare, plus a contribution towards a wellbeing benefit of your choice
* Annual contribution towards dental and optical costs for you and your family
* Staff discount and access to hundreds of additional retailer discounts
* Loan golf club set
* Competitive holiday allowance — and no expectation that you’ll be working on your birthday!
If you’re looking for a supervisory credit role where you can apply your expertise and make a meaningful contribution within a globally recognised brand, we’d love to hear from you.
