About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Weighbridge Operative to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the weighbridge operations, ensuring precise recording of vehicle weights and maintaining compliance with industry standards. If you have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
About Your Role
* Smooth and safe running of the site operations, with safe and efficient materials processing ensuring a short turnaround time for customers visiting the site.
* Consistent and accurate production of completed weighbridge tickets.
* Management of site access, ensuring visitors sign in/out of the visitors book.
* Report all Health and Safety incidents and any accidents or near misses to management.
* Weigh vehicles and produce legible sales dockets for invoicing or card payment collection.
* Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions from the site.
* Undertake inspections of plant/equipment/site as required by company procedures.
* Ensure that all materials are received and dispatched in accordance with company procedures.
* Be a key contact for customers using Brett sites, ensuring their visits are quick and pleasant.
* Adhere to legal requirements of the Highways Act.
* Comply with environmental permits and waste acceptance duties of care.
* Provide admin support to the operations team as needed.
We're Looking For
* Experience in quarry or aggregates production is desirable but not essential.
* Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
* Collaborative attitude working as part of a small operational team.
* Good organisational skills, able to manage own time efficiently.
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and responsibilities.
* Customer-focused mindset, understanding that the customer comes first.
