The Role:
This role is part of Saab Seaeye Business Unit. You will learn about our products and manufacture ROV assemblies, from components to testing and sign-off. You will also perform fault-finding and root cause analysis on returned products needing servicing or refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics for building and fault finding.
* Ensure high standards in soldering and electrical loomings.
* Assist with pressure and soak testing of components.
* Maintain proficiency in relevant IT systems.
* Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies at component level.
* Apply 6S principles and lean initiatives.
* Maintain professional relationships with team and other departments.
* Act ethically and with integrity.
* Manage time effectively to maximize productivity.
* Use judgment and initiative to solve challenges.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills:
* Ability to interpret electro/mechanical/hydraulic schematics.
* Knowledge of mechanical engineering practices.
* Understanding of electronic manufacturing practices (IPC or similar).
* Fault-finding skills to PCB level.
* Component diagnostics experience is advantageous.
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
* Experience with electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, megger, multimeters).
