Role – Process Fuel Engineer
Salary - Up to £46,000.00
Location - Teesside TS6 7RP
Pattern of Work – 36.5 hours, Monday - Friday
What you need to know about the role
Within the role of Process Fuel Engineer you will report to the Improvement engineer and work as part of the team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boilers and reheat furnaces. You will also have links to other Process Engineers located in Scunthorpe to assist with support and development.
Your key responsibilities will include day to day operations of the gas systems associated with the reheat furnaces and boilers. This includes developing and maintaining procedures, arranging plant outages for maintenance work and working with others in the team to monitor plant operations and implement changes as required.
As part of the role you will identify areas for improvement via plant monitoring and KPI’s to drive Continuous Improvement. You will also manage improvement projects through to implementation. There is a requirement to carry out field work including purging and process improvements.
What we need to know about you
Experience as a Process Engineer or in Operational Management/Supervision is highly desirable. Graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Good Level of Process Safety Knowledge.
Knowledge of a steelworks, steam raising boilers, reheat furnace or experience on a gas processing/distribution/combustion system would be advantageous.
Ideally you will be qualified to at least HNC level in a STEM subject, preferably Chemical Engineering, or have relevant industrial experience.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential along with excellent IT skills.
