Opportunity for a QA engineer to join a leading UK Fitness startup About the company A London-based fitness scale-up building the operating system for fitness and recovery studios — dynamic bookings, PT matching, and operator analytics. Our stack spans a React Native mobile app, a Next.js portal, and a Supabase backend, deployed on Vercel and AWS. The Role We're looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join us two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) on a 16-hour contract. You'll be the quality gate across our web and mobile products — running both manual and automated tests, catching issues before they reach users, and helping us build a more robust testing culture. There's a real opportunity here: for the right person, this role can grow into a full-time permanent position. What You'll Do • Test web and mobile features across our Next.js portal and React Native app • Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright • Run usability testing across multiple devices and screen sizes • Set up and manage automated test suites as part of our quality pipeline • Identify, document, and track bugs clearly — and verify fixes • Collaborate with engineers to improve test coverage and catch regressions early What We're Looking For • 5 years of QA experience testing mobile and SaaS software • Hands-on Playwright experience — writing, running, and maintaining tests • Proven ability to set up and own automated test infrastructure • Comfortable running usability tests across a range of real devices • Organised and self-directed — able to manage your own workload across two days a week • Nice to have: CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and Vercel Terms • £15-20 per hour · 16 hours/week (Wednesdays & Thursdays) • Remote — open to candidates anywhere in the UK or abroad • Part-time contract with the possibility of conversion to full-time permanent
