My Hertfordshire based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience in providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They serve various sites including offices, residential, commercial communal areas, clinical spaces, retail, theatres, museums, and galleries.
Job Title: Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager
Location: Midlands/East Anglia region (with potential overnight stays)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible based on site requirements
This role combines operational management with hands-on mobile support. The workweek is divided between supervising/managing multiple sites with support from the Head of Operations (three days) and providing deep cleaning support (two days).
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide operational management support across client sites, including site audits, staff management, and client liaison.
2. Manage staff schedules, timesheets, and holidays using the company systems.
3. Conduct out-of-hours site checks and ensure health & safety procedures are followed.
4. Recruit, train, and support cleaning staff; manage disciplinary procedures.
5. Organize tasks, delegate duties, and respond to client complaints promptly.
6. Manage stock and supplies, and oversee site mobilization and induction of new staff.
7. Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet, floor, window, oven cleaning, and jet washing as required.
8. Maintain records of tasks and report equipment issues or hazards.
9. Ensure safe working practices and liaise with managers to meet KPIs.
Candidate Requirements
1. Experience in the cleaning industry, especially deep cleaning (carpets, floors, windows, equipment).
2. Supervisory or management experience preferred.
3. Reside within the operating area.
4. Flexible, reliable, and able to work out of hours when needed.
5. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Knowledge of health & safety legislation and COSHH.
7. Driver’s license required.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and relevant management systems (training provided).
