Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS)
The Glasgow ADRS Occupational Therapy service is seeking to appoint an experienced therapist to work within and across Glasgow City HSCP. The post holder will be responsible for delivering skilled occupational therapy interventions to individuals with substance misuse and mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will function as an independent practitioner with an ability to demonstrate an in‑depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience with a keen focus on client‑centred practice. You should have a caring and compassionate approach to patient care, colleagues and carers, maintaining dignity and respect within all interactions and therapeutic interventions. The post will be part of a well‑established citywide team and be responsible for service development and supervision of junior staff and students. You will manage delegated activity as well as maintaining a clinical caseload.
Applicants must have a minimum qualification of BSc Occupational Therapy and have relevant or transferrable practice experience. You should hold a current HCPC registration and meet all requirements for practising as an occupational therapist. The post is full‑time 37 hours per week (Mon‑Fri) reducing to 36 hours per week from April 2026.
