New Build Crane Engineer
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000
Monday to Friday days
Overtime paid at 1.5
About your new company:
My client, a national provider of cranes and plant equipment, is seeking an experienced and motivated New Build Crane Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team.
About your New Build Crane Engineer role:
Installation of safety systems, calibration, and testing of crane specifications
Preparation of cranes for sale, including decal application, testing, and paint touch-ups
Conducting PDI inspections and testing for both incoming and outgoing machinery
Refurbishment and repair of older machines
Fault finding and diagnosis of equipment defects
Supporting field-based engineers with diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assisting the dealer network with maintenance and testing of products
Maintaining records for engineering, health & safety, and customer service
Performing other engineering and workshop duties as required
What you’ll need to succeed for this New Build Crane Engineer role:
Electrical Engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive / plant systems)
Communication system experience (CAN bus – ideal but not essential)
NVQ level 2/3 Engineering
High attention to detail and ability to complete system installations to a high standard
Ability to read and follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
