Global Research and Library team
Join our Global Research and Library team, which delivers trusted, technology-enabled intelligence and resources to clients and colleagues across approximately 50 offices worldwide. Our department provides four core services: procurement and management of information resources, day-to-day and strategic research support, guidance and coordination for local research and library teams, and the development of client-facing and branded products.
What you will do
This role is based in our Belfast office within the Library team, which supports all offices in sourcing and managing both print and online information resources, ensuring our teams have access to the latest knowledge and research.
This will include:
* Management of the library collections for our UK offices, handling everything from acquisitions and cataloguing to organising, circulating, and administering both print and online subscriptions.
* Supporting our international offices by identifying, purchasing, and processing new materials, managing subscriptions, monitoring costs, and offering expert advice on collection management.
* Delivering a seamless remote library management service for select offices, making a tangible impact on how our global teams access and utilise information.
* Collaborating closely with Practice Librarians and user groups, shaping library services to meet evolving needs and ensuring our resources remain relevant and accessible.
What you will have
* A post graduate degree in Library or Information Science or a related qualification, or be working towards this
* Extensive experience in an information or library environment, preferably including acquisitions, subscription management and/or cataloguing tasks
* Technical expertise in the use of software and online products such as SharePoint, MS Office especially Excel, automated library management systems (LMS), eBooks and eJournals is essential. Experience of MS Copilot is desirable.
* Contract or licence management experience desirable
* Experience of working in a professional administrative environment is desirable, either in a library, information, research, IT or corporate/legal setting
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize your work
* Experience of delivering training, both remotely and in person
* Excellent all round communication skills, both oral and written; able to interact confidently with clients of all levels
