Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our small team of Credit Controllers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Credit Control team and overseeing all credit control activities within the company.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a team of credit controllers.
2. Oversee credit control operations, including debtor account portfolios, ensuring compliance with company processes, credit and payment terms, and credit checks.
3. Produce and analyze debt reports, reporting risks, variances, and action plans.
4. Forecast cash flow monthly.
5. Maintain records of credit applications, payments, bad debts, and generate relevant reports and analysis.
6. Manage bad debt collection processes, such as small claims, insurance claims, and correspondence.
7. Collaborate with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
8. Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies within set timeframes.
9. Support daily credit control activities as needed.
10. Develop strategic partnerships across management to promote communication, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
11. Review and update the company's credit policy.
12. Liaise with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy adherence.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
* Good knowledge of credit control functions within a business.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Details
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
