MacKenzie King are currently recruiting a Finance Manager to join a global organisation with a base in Ipswich. As a Finance Manager you will manage a team of 2/3 Accounts Assistants and support the Head Of Finance in the timely production of accurate information and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all payments, and all general ledger entries are processed accurately and in a timely manner
2. Ensure technical results and ledger balances between multiple systems are reconciled on a quarterly basis
3. Maintain the general ledger ensuring that data is loaded accurately and that the appropriate monthly controls are adhered to
4. Ensure that a high-quality service is delivered to internal clients in terms of: timely delivery, accuracy of data, responsiveness to queries, reconciliations made
5. Improve and optimise the accounts production process and the quality of reports produced
6. Lead and develop the team. Manage the workload and performance of team members with particular focus on productivity and process optimisation while ensuring teams are motivated and capable of multi-tasking, by emphasising constant communication.
7. Build and maintain effective working relationships with key business contacts
8. Liaise with external auditors to manage the year end audit process where necessary
9. Manage ad hoc finance projects as required
