IT Technician - 1st Line Support
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented 1st Line Support Technician to join our IT team. As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This is a part-time position, working three days per week, with schedule flexibility to be discussed during the interview. The role is based near our Head Office in Teddington.
IT Technician: The Role
1. Part-time position (3 days per week)
2. Head office-based role
3. Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to the sites
4. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues
5. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
6. Assist with user account management
7. Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex problems
8. Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical users
9. Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
10. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
11. Assist with computer networking tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues
12. Analyze computer hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutions
13. Assist in EPOS system configuration and maintenance
IT Technician: The Ideal Candidate
1. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS, etc.)
2. Knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantage
3. Basic understanding of computer networking concepts
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions
5. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
