Policy Officer (Sustainable Energy and Finance) - London Based (Hybrid)

The policy team are offering an exciting opportunity for a Policy Officer to be a part of a dynamic, supportive environment where they can tackle issues surrounding sustainable energy and green finance through policy work. This role will allow the successful candidate to directly aid the UK towards achieving its goal of transitioning to Net Zero.
As a Policy Officer, you will:
1. Work with the team to develop new policies, whilst ensuring current policies are delivering the desired outcome.
2. Lead on organisation's work on sustainable finance related to renewables and green technology.
3. Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders on any relevant policy areas.
4. Oversee the completion of relevant consultation responses, reports and summary pieces.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5. Good understanding in Solar Energy, Energy Storage and Sustainable Investments/Green Finance.
6. Strong analytic and communication skills with a good understanding of current issues and affairs in the energy space.
7. The ability to build consensus policy positions and accurately assess how relevant legislation impacts the sector will be vital.
8. Passionate about decreasing carbon emissions to create a better environment.
9. Demonstrable experience in gathering evidence to support policy development.
10. Be able to effectively work as part of a team or independently.
11. Relevant degree or work experience within renewable energies, green technologies or sustainability.
This role will be based at their head office in the London, but offers a flexible hybrid work scheme of 3 days a week in the office.
