Job Description for Group Finance Manager at 111 SKIN

About the Role:
The Finance team is vital to 111 SKIN and its sister companies, handling daily financial accounting and supporting strategic financial development. As the Group Finance Manager, you will oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow forecasting, and manage AP and AR functions. You will collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and contribute to the company's financial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct monthly reconciliations (inventory, fixed assets, intercompany, credits, debtors, accruals, prepayments)
2. Ensure compliance with accounting standards
3. Support month-end closing processes
4. Manage AP & AR functions, oversee payment runs, support Credit Controller
5. Manage fixed assets register, capex reporting, and budgeting
6. Handle UK & EU VAT returns and US sales tax
7. Manage cash flow and forecasting, identify risks and opportunities
Project Management:
1. Lead annual audit, liaise with external auditors
2. Support US sales tax project with Avalara
3. Manage projects related to Sage system and handle development and queries
4. Coordinate with external tax advisors
5. Drive process improvements, especially automating AP & AR processes
Treasury Management:
1. Oversee cash flow, optimize working capital, manage treasury activities
2. Enhance cash flow forecasting accuracy with Operations
3. Collaborate with Sage partners for automated reporting
People Management:
1. Manage AP & AR teams, including line management of two staff
2. Serve as a financial subject matter expert for the wider team
3. Proactively communicate risks and opportunities
4. Seek opportunities for personal learning and development
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Qualified ACCA/ACA accountant
* Experience in fast-paced FMCG, retail, cosmetics sectors
* Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
* Solid technical accounting knowledge
* Experience with SAGE X3 is highly desirable
