Overview
Electrical Construction Manager - Data Centre in Hertfordshire. We are looking for a proven electrical supervisor with experience using laptop-based software and keen to progress to project management. A proven electrical construction manager will also be considered for the role. A testing and inspection course and the ability to carry out fixed wire testing will be beneficial. The project is a data centre infrastructure upgrade and is expected to run until next July. Start date will be 21st or 28th September. The company has high employment standards and expects good work ethics, good timekeeping, and presentable appearance.
Role & Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager on project progress and key issues, creating and updating RAMs for the 4-week look ahead, and reviewing Sub Contractor RAMs.
* Liaising with NTT and ensuring RAMs have reach approval status ahead of works; coordinating with the supply chain to confirm operatives’ names and closed-out requirements; updating and issuing the Access/Delivery look ahead schedule.
* Attending site meetings/conference calls and recording accurate meeting minutes; observing the work faces with supervisors to track daily progress; delivering daily safe starts for all operatives.
* Managing the daily permit process and preserving all documentation; raising and tracking RFIs and Technical Submittals; producing and issuing Benchmarks and Shutdown/Migration detailed run schedules.
* Working to and reporting against the latest issue construction programme; completing and issuing site Health and Safety documentation; carrying out site inductions and updating project folders; ensuring operatives are competent.
* Drawing production from initial construction to completion into RD; closing out work areas and QA checks; testing and witnessing commissioning packs; producing Visual Inspection Reports and performing de-snagging and snagging.
* Planning of works including weekend/OOH working and assigning responsibilities; ensuring protocols and policies set by the Company and client NTT are upheld; liaising with NTT Project/Construction managers and other on-site Sub Contractors.
* Procurement of materials as required by Supervisors and coordinating with subcontractors.

* Gold Card
* Data Centre project experience
* Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
Contract Details
Contracted Hours: 7:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday. Salary & Package: Permanent – £50,000 to £55,000; 25 days holiday; travel fares paid; pension after probationary period.
