Global Quality & Accreditation Product Certification Lead
Netherlands – homebased, less than 20% travel is required to BSI and third-party locations for training delivery, accreditor/regulator audits, meetings, and conferences
About the role
Our BSI Regulatory Services’ Global Quality & Accreditation team is looking for a GQA Product Certification Lead who manages product certification EU designations and 17065/25 accreditations in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
·Manage the product certification scheme accreditations and designations globally within ISO 17065, ISO 17025, ISO 17020, CE, UKCA, ISO17021-1 (module H), EA, IAF and other applicable accreditation requirements, as well as related regulated schemes. This includes managing office and witness audit programs to support the maintenance of accreditation and designations.
·Provide support for product certification and CE schemes, by for example, updating procedures, investigating regulator/accreditor non-conformities, regulator queries and customer appeals, and supporting activities during witnessed or office regulator/accreditor audits. Support the roll out of policy decisions and processes for product certification schemes globally.
·Establish and maintain appropriate relationships externally with Dutch and EU regulatory stakeholder groups. Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with impartiality stakeholders in the Netherlands.
·Provide accreditation/regulatory expertise, leadership and mentoring to product certification staff globally, technical specialists, scheme managers, sales, marketing and other BSI colleagues on BSI requirements for product certification.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
·A comprehensive understanding of 17065/17025 requirements as applied to product certification including applicable regulations and standards.
·Experience in third party product testing or certification, preferably in either personal protective equipment (2016/425/EU), construction products (Regulation 305/2011/EU), appliances burning gaseous fuels (EU) 2016/426), Pressure Equipment (2014/68/EU), Marine Equipment (2014/90/EU), Lifts and safety components for Lifts (2014/33/EU), Hot water boilers (1992/42/EEC), digital trust schemes or eIDAS Regulation (EU No910/2014).
·A good understanding of the application of accreditation/designation, notified body, product, testing and quality standards and requirements
·Broad technical understanding of third-party product certification or testing; experience of coordinating or conducting third party product certification audits or testing
·Minimum of two years of hands-on testing or auditing experience, preferably against one of the areas listed above.
·Fluency in Dutch and English.
·First or second degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
