Alexander Care Home is a welcoming, residential care home in Bury, supporting up to 31 residents. We provide high-quality care for adults aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. Our team is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit two Day Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team at Alexander Care Home. Each role offers 22 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and is looking to grow within the adult social care sector. There is a clear pathway for progression into senior care roles for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents
* Support and assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
* Support residents with mobility and mealtimes
* Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation
* Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to senior staff
* Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure the best outcomes for residents
About You
We’re looking for individuals who:
* Have previous experience working in a care role (essential)
* Ideally hold (or working towards) a QCF Diploma Level 2 qualification (desirable)
* Are kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Are reliable and committed to delivering high standards of care
* Are comfortable with personal care and supporting people with dementia
