About the Role
We\'re looking for a friendly, professional, and compassionate individual to join our reception team at South Devon Veterinary Hospital and Referrals - a well-established veterinary hospital and referral centre located in the beautiful village of Abbotskerswell.
As a key member of our front-of-house team, you\'ll be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. You\'ll provide exceptional customer service, handle administrative duties, and help create a welcoming and calm environment for both clients and colleagues.
About You
* Experience in the veterinary industry is ideal - but not essential.
* A proven background in customer-facing roles is a must - you genuinely care about giving clients the best possible experience.
* You\'re empathetic, calm under pressure, and maintain a professional and polite manner at all times.
* Strong administrative skills, including confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar tools.
* Experience in cash handling and basic accounts is a plus.
* Familiarity with veterinary Practice Management Systems is beneficial (but training will be provided).
* Most importantly, you\'ll be a great fit for our supportive, close-knit team.

Your shift pattern
Ideally, the successful person will work a 40-hour week with a mixture of early and late shifts. Our opening hours are 8 am - 6:30 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am - 12:30 pm Saturday.
