The Role
Days and hours are currently flexible (roughly 20 hours per week), but we do require consistent availability for Saturday mornings. The previous Head Receptionist covered Thursday–Saturday; new schedules will be agreed collaboratively.
As our Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience. Your core responsibilities will include:
*
Client Liaison & Appointments: Greet clients and check in patients; answer phone calls and emails; schedule and confirm appointments; manage waiting lists.
*
Administration & Records: Maintain accurate client/patient records in our practice management software; process payments, insurance claims, and invoices.
*
Customer Service: Provide clear, compassionate communication regarding consultations, treatments, and follow‑up care; resolve basic queries or direct them to the clinical team.
*
Team Support: Coordinate with veterinary nurses and veterinarians to optimize daily workflow; assist with general administrative tasks (filing, restocking supplies, basic data entry).
*
Saturday Cover: Work every Saturday morning (8:30 am – 12:30 pm) to ensure continuity of service.
