This role is for a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered Podiatrist with graduate clinic experience to provide high‑quality podiatry care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those at risk of developing serious foot health complications. The post holder is required to have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of podiatry treatments, including biomechanical interventions and wound care for patients in Kent. The role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare, and to student nurses and newly qualified nurses.
Responsibilities
* Using clinical judgement and risk assessments to keep users of services safe.
* Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when an adult or child may be at risk of abuse, recognising limits, seeking help and escalating concerns when necessary.
* Responding appropriately to safety concerns, escalating as required and ensuring governance procedures are implemented.
* Being open and transparent about practice.
* Supervising the work of others.
* Reflecting on own practice and that of teams, identifying areas for improvement in safety or quality and taking recommendations to appropriate forums.
* Working with other teams and partner agencies to create a culture of continuous improvement and service development.
* Maintaining accurate, legible, comprehensive records and leading on regular compliance audits.
* Maintaining compliance with mandatory training requirements and scope of extended competencies.
