Due to recent contract growth, exciting opportunities for an experienced warehouse first line manager has been created at our operation in Brockworth, Gloucester. These are key roles that will be central to the successful delivery of a contract where Wincanton are providing warehousing and transport services for equipment being delivered in for the construction of Hinkley Point.
Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history.

Day to Day
20. Project overtime hours for the team
21. Review future works and plan shifts accordingly.
22. Deputise in operation managers absence; liaise with supplier’s management, forecasting and project expectations.
23. Distribute workload between the Operatives for effective output.
24. Identify and escalate any site maintenance concerns.
25. Be an active presence in the warehouse and lead my example with a safety-first approach.
26. Identify resourcing requirements and escalate to senior management.
27. Support Multitask Operatives with their duties and responsibilities where required.
28. Completing regular 121s with MTO, T&A, Return to Works, actively supporting the onboarding process, interviewing.
29. Identify and implement innovative storage solutions – Continuous improvement of the warehouse processes.
30. Liaise with stakeholders, client, senior management, and contractors.
31. Take an active role in H&S, continuously reviewing SSOW and SOPs to ensure they are up to date and accurate.
What will you bring?
32. Experience, skills, and attributes:
33. Microsoft packages: word, excel and PowerPoint
34. MHE experience desirable.
35. Driving license desirable
36. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
37. Confidence to escalate concerns to senior management.
38. Line management experience
39. Previous use of Manual Handling Equipment: LLOP, Counterbalance, Reach Truck, EPT
40. First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Fire Marshall, spill responder, Incident controller and banksman
