Roles & Responsibilities
The role of the B1 / B2 Certifying Engineer will be to use the resources available to them on behalf of the organisation, to consistently improve the delivery and performance of RVL Airtech Part 145 maintenance activities, to ensure technical availability of RVL Aviation's aircraft.
The Certifying Engineer shall work in conjunction with RVL Aviation's Part CAMO department. They will ensure that all matters relating to the planning of maintenance activities have been completed in full and accounted for in accordance with the organisation's Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition and supporting procedures.
The Certifying Engineer will use their experience to assist with technical issues identified to mitigate delays in production or line aircraft serviceability. They are expected to hold the appropriate qualifications to hold a company authorisation. They shall work in accordance with CAA Part 145, Part CAMO, Part 21 and other NAA requirements as appropriate to the fleet and maintaining the upmost vigilance to Health and Safety matters.
Responsible For
* Active Supervision of Part 145 personnel allocated to them by Supervisor, to oversee their work, ensuring the work performed is to a standard acceptable to the Company and the regulatory authorities.
* Performing and certifying maintenance activities IAW the limitations of their personal authorisation document.
* Ensuring the availability of all necessary maintenance data as required by Part 145.A.45.
* Supplying the necessary technical documents for customers and storage of the organisation's technical records.
* Recording and notifying any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the author of maintenance data.
* Reporting deficiencies in ground support equipment to their Shift Supervisor.
* Raising parts requisitions/shortages to ensure on time aircraft release.
* Ensuring timely, accurate and compliant release to service of aircraft after maintenance events.
* On completion of any work, all associated worksheets are checked for accuracy and completeness, and that all Tech Log and CRS entries are made and certified accordingly.
* Ensuring only components which are in a satisfactory condition, released on an UK CAA Form 1 or equivalent are installed on aircraft.
* Efficiently use company documents such as MEL to maintain operational aircraft availability.
* Ensuring all parts removed are correctly labelled and processed to the correct location IAW the organisation's procedures.
* Providing feedback when issues arise regarding work card narrative, maintenance data, company procedures and engineering forms to enable the organisation to make appropriate changes.
* Actively supporting RVL Aviation's Management System by ensuring prompt preventative and corrective action when required by the organisation.
* Performing general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
* Any other reasonable ad hoc duties as required by the Organisation.
Qualifications & Role Requirements
Essential
* Have successfully completed an Aeronautical Engineering Degree or holds CAA/EASA Part 66 Licence.
* A minimum of three years' experience working in a Part 145 maintenance organisation.
* Hold or be able to complete aircraft type training on the RVL Aviation's fleet of aircraft.
* Hold a full clean, driving licence.
* Eligible to work and reside within the United Kingdom.
* Hold a valid passport.
Desirable
* King Air B200 Type Rating.
* ASI Aviation F406 Type Rating.
* Cessna 208 Type Rating.
* Aircraft structures, repair, and modification knowledge.
* Experience of OASES, LEON, and CENTRIK software.
