Increasing investment—both foreign and domestic—is essential to the UK’s economic growth and prosperity. Private investment is key to delivering new infrastructure, the energy transition, and maintaining international leadership as a science‑and‑technology‑driven economy. The Office for Investment (OfI), created in January 2021 as a joint unit between No. 10, HMT and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), is an exciting, creative, and dynamic workplace where commercial and public‑sector professionals collaborate to secure high‑value investment projects.
