Cpl is collaborating with a growing beauty and skincare company with a large customer base, ranging from high street retailers from all around the world, online fashion retailers, and licensed products. The company focuses on colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and fragrance.
The business is seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Leader to join a rapidly growing, high-energy business in the Northwest of England. The role involves designing and manufacturing private label and branded cosmetic products from concept to delivery.
As a Regulatory Manager, you will be part of the Regulatory Compliance Team of 9, reporting to the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality. You will lead the regulatory compliance team, managing regulatory and technical compliance for all retail partners and the company's innovative range of cosmetic products. You will collaborate closely with the NPD Teams and the new China Factory to ensure products meet global sale requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inquiries from customers or team members.
2. Collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate complex regulatory requirements and technical data clearly to diverse audiences, ensuring successful and timely product launches.
3. Ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance for all product artworks and marketing messages across channels and markets.
4. Assist in developing and implementing the Global Regulatory strategy with the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality.
5. Support NPD on claims and testing to maximize compliance and claims effectiveness.
6. Maintain a deep understanding of global regulations to keep the business agile and compliant during rapid growth.
7. Own the development of safe and compliant products, advising on ingredient selection and external consultants as needed.
8. Author and compile technical documentation for submissions, licensing, re-licensing, and change reporting.
9. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Previous experience in cosmetics is REQUIRED.
2. At least 8+ years of significant experience in cosmetic regulatory affairs.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships at all management levels.
4. Analytical, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a sense of urgency and commitment to speed to market.
