Art Teacher - Alternative Provision - Birmingham
Are you a qualified Art teacher looking for a challenge? Tired of mainstream settings and seeking a role with smaller class sizes and greater curriculum freedom?
I am recruiting for an established pupil referral unit in Birmingham that is seeking to appoint two qualified Art teachers to join their dedicated team.
The school values energetic, determined teachers with excellent behaviour management skills.
The role involves teaching children from KS3 to KS4, with full TA support for all classes. The position involves less marking and planning compared to mainstream schools, with shorter and more varied days. The senior management team is forward-thinking and supportive.
You will need a positive, proactive, and resilient attitude, as all children have full EHCPs and SEND needs. The role is both rewarding and fulfilling. Staff report high job satisfaction from working at this school.
As a qualified Art teacher, you will ensure pupils make progress at or beyond expected levels, participate in parents' evenings, meetings, and reviews, and genuinely care about making a difference in each child's life.
One of our ECTs at this school shared, "No two days are the same here. I enjoy coming to work so much. The CPD opportunities are excellent, and there is always new training available."
I have worked with this centre for many years and consider it one of my favourites. I believe any teacher would be grateful to work here.
