Job Title: Insolvency Solicitor (1+ PQE)Location: Central Manchester (Hybrid Working)Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits + clear progression pathwayPQE: 1+ Years (Post-Qualification Experience)The Opportunity:I'm currently working with a well-regarded commercial law firm in central Manchester that specialises in business recovery, restructuring, and insolvency. This boutique practice has carved out a strong reputation in the market and is growing steadily due to increased demand and continued investment.They are now looking to appoint an Insolvency Solicitor (1+ PQE) to join their expanding team. The role offers excellent exposure to high-quality work, a strong client base of accountants, insolvency practitioners, and directors, and a genuinely collaborative culture.The Role:You'll work closely with senior lawyers and partners on a range of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters. This includes advising office holders, companies in distress, and creditors on administrations, liquidations, CVAs, asset recovery, and director misfeasance. You'll be encouraged to develop your own client relationships and given real responsibility from an early stage.Key Responsibilities:
* Advising insolvency practitioners, creditors, and directors on a broad range of insolvency and restructuring matters
* Managing and progressing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
* Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms
* Supporting senior team members on more complex or high-value matters
* Engaging in business development and building relationships across professional networks
What You'll Need:
* Minimum 1 year PQE in insolvency law (either from a litigation or transactional background)
* Solid understanding of both corporate and personal insolvency procedures
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
* Confidence working both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
* A proactive mindset and an appetite to grow your technical and client-handling skills
