Overview
The Domestic Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of household systems and equipment. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in various aspects of home maintenance and repair. The Domestic Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of domestic facilities, ensuring all systems function efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
* Perform repairs on various domestic appliances and systems as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Read and interpret schematics to understand the layout and functionality of household systems.
* Diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes on white goods and small electrical appliances
* Install and commission replacements (freestanding & integrated)
* Carry out portable appliance testing (PAT) and record results in our field app
* Identify parts, raise quotes, and keep clear job notes/photos
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Appliance/White Goods Engineer (field-based preferred)
* Strong electrical fault-finding and strip-down skills on major brands
* Full UK driving licence
* Confident with smartphones/tablets and job management apps
* Great customer service—clear, empathetic communication with tenants and agents

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
