Overview
Children’s Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team. 37 hours per week, Permanent. Qualified Social Worker (PO2) salary: £42,652 - £45,271; Experienced Social Worker (PO3) salary: £47,362 - £50,339. Salaries include market factor where applicable. An exciting opportunity to join a service reshaping the delivery of support for children with disabilities and their families.
Responsibilities
* Work with children and young people to identify social care needs and determine an effective network of support to achieve positive outcomes.
* Plan and review social care needs for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities; may include complex health needs.
* Engage directly with children, young people and families to ensure their views are listened to and involved in decisions about support.
* Collaborate in multi-agency work with health, education and social care partners to deliver coordinated support.
* Adhere to statutory requirements for Children in Need, Children Looked After and Child Protection as part of the local authority social work service.
* Contribute to safeguarding and welfare, supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
* Qualified Social Worker (PO2) or Experienced Social Worker (PO3) with relevant registration and eligibility to practice in social care.
* Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities and their families is advantageous; training and knowledge can be developed within the service.
