About the Role
SW Locums are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Early Help & Prevention - Youth Justice Service (YJS) within Bradford Children and Families Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with strong Youth Justice experience to work within a forward‑thinking and supportive service committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality interventions, managing complex cases, and supporting vulnerable young people involved with the Youth Justice Service.
Youth Justice experience is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload within the Youth Justice Service
* Complete assessments, care planning and risk management
* Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to safeguard children and young people
* Deliver effective interventions to support positive outcomes
* Attend court proceedings, reviews and professional meetings where required
* Provide high‑quality recording and maintain accurate case management systems

Bradford Children and Families Trust operates hybrid working. However, there will be instances where employees are expected to be in the office for specific tasks or team days, as defined by the needs of the service.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Significant experience within Children’s Services
* Previous Youth Justice / YJS experience (essential)
* Strong assessment and safeguarding experience
* Excellent communication and partnership‑working skills
