Your Role
As a member of the Acute Therapies Verification and Validation engineering team, you will support product verification, validation, and compliance testing activities on electrical and mechanical medical device components/systems. Your expertise will be applied to all levels of product development, from prototypes to final system design. This includes planning, developing, executing, and validating test methods, and creating associated documentation. You will interface with/support different groups such as R&D, Project Management, Quality, and Manufacturing.
What you'll be doing
1. Develop electromechanical test plans, methods, protocols, and reports for verification of requirements on components and systems.
2. Lead small teams through planning and execution of Test V&V projects, constructing detailed project schedules and interfacing with various departments.
3. Drive quality into product development through analysis, testing, and providing timely feedback on test results to cross-functional teams.
4. Reverse engineer designs, review requirements, and perform test impact assessments to define test scope.
5. Design test cases including methodology, setups, materials, equipment, procedures, and acceptance criteria based on standards.
6. Perform functional testing of mechanical assemblies, electrical circuits, and systems.
7. Contribute to team meetings and design reviews.
8. Support hardware and software teams in product development, feasibility, pre-compliance, and change activities by developing and analyzing test data.
9. Design and qualify hardware and software tools/fixtures for testing and data analysis.
10. Review designs and requirements to develop comprehensive test methods and coverage.
11. Develop and implement feasibility and characterization testing on prototypes and design concepts.
What you'll bring
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of test engineering experience.
2. Experience with medical device systems, plans, procedures, reports, and test methods.
3. Results in troubleshooting, resourcefulness, and root cause analysis.
4. Hands-on approach to electro-mechanical testing, fault diagnosis, and isolation.
5. Ability to create detailed, clear documentation and records.
6. Effective collaboration across disciplines and project teams.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate with engineers/technicians.
8. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with broad responsibilities.
9. Self-starter with ownership, initiative, and goal-oriented mindset.
Vantive supports workplace flexibility with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week, fostering collaboration and connection.
Compensation for this role ranges from $88,000 to $121,000 annually, with potential bonuses. Salaries are based on location, skills, experience, and other factors. For more details, speak with the recruiter.
