Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreement between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline, from receiving the site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover. Ensures the successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers and other local organizations as a project representative.
4. Health, safety, environment (HSE), and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations among project partners and is empowered to suspend activities in case of HSE violations. Ensures proper handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
5. Sub-contractors: Manages on-site sub-contractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet delivery standards and deadlines.
6. Site cost management: Monitors project site costs, compares actual spend against forecasts, and estimates final costs. Manages petty cash and has delegated authority for local purchasing within limits.
7. Documentation: Maintains and updates all project documentation, ensuring the latest revisions are used.
8. People leadership and development: Organizes, staffs, and guides the team within HR policies. Coordinates local accommodations, site facilities, and other logistics.
Summary: Supervises a team responsible for tasks within an assigned area, ensuring proper work assignment and performance reviews.
Candidates should have several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with good knowledge of Site Management, Health & Safety (OHS), Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic understanding of Commissioning and Civil Works.
