Join to apply for the Swimming Teacher role at Places for People

We are Places for People Group, a social enterprise that believes it is people who make a community. At Places Leisure we are changing lives by creating active places and healthy people for communities to thrive, and we want to be the UK's leading health and wellbeing enabler.

We aren't your typical company. We value our People as we do our communities, ensuring our team is appreciated and supported. At Places for People, you are more than just a number - you’re part of our cause.

More About Your Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Swimming Teacher at Places Leisure, where you will work in a fun, lively environment with like-minded people. You will help inspire others to work together and deliver their best. With your passion for teaching, swimming and excellent class programming and instructing skills, you will be full of enthusiasm while engaging with customers and sharing your extensive knowledge and expertise.

All of our swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, and as such, our Swimming Teachers should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2. It would be advantageous to hold a Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC); however, if you are motivated and driven, we would be happy to support you in achieving either of these qualifications through our learning and development opportunities.

There are many opportunities within Places Leisure. Your career with us as a Swimming Teacher is a great first step to other routes including a Swimming Co-ordinator and a Contract Swimming Development Manager.

We will offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including support with your NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications, enhancing your customer service skills and more.
