£107,144 - £142,369 per annum pro rata
NHS Highland Cancer Services covers over 300,000 people across approximately 10,000 square miles, including remote and rural populations. The service manages cancer care from Caithness to Campbeltown, with hospitals in Inverness, Wick, Fort William, and Oban. The department has a team of 7 consultant oncologists, handling around 1400 new cancer patients annually, with strong links to community services and a dedicated clinical trials team.
We are seeking a Clinical Oncologist with responsibilities including Urology. The role offers opportunities for research, teaching, and development, with additional PAs available. There is potential for appointment as Cancer Clinical Director for qualified candidates.
The department is part of the North Cancer Alliance, collaborating with centers in Grampian and Tayside, and features a modern outpatient suite with a day case SACT area, nurse-led SACT units, and excellent interdisciplinary relationships.
